MEET NICOLE
My Name is Nicole Horn. I am 28 years old. I was born in Mesa, Arizona and raised in Clifton, Arizona. I am the mother of two boys Paul and Jayden. I graduated from Morenci High School in 2010. I hold an Associates of Arts in Criminal Justice 2012, Associates of Applies Sciences in Paralegal Studies 2014, and finally a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from the Ira. A Fulton Schools of Engineering from Arizona State University 2015. My Maternal and Paternal grandparents both reside in Greenlee County. I am currently running for the position of Greenlee County Supervisor District 1, Clifton Arizona. It has been my haven my entire life and I am striving to better my community as a citizen and I would welcome the opportunity to make some beneficial changes for the people of our town as Supervisor for District 1. I am highly proficient in the technology field which can be a great resource for the community. I am an independent, determined, and educated individual who will strive for the best interests of our community.
MY OBJECTIVES FOR GREENLEE
Greenlee County needs to reunify, and I would be honored to be a voice and represent our community. It is time to make changes to bring needed resources to our county. I have done research in obtaining grants. I feel that our county is a perfect candidate for multiple grants based on the revenue that we currently have. I am currently obtaining training to become more knowledgeable about writing grants and how to obtain them. First and Foremost, one of my highest objectives is to care for those who once cared for us. I firmly believe there are resources readily available for our elderly here in Greenlee County. One of my primary goals is to better assist our elderly in our community including, but not limited to more vaccine availability such as shingles shots, in home health care, medical appointments transportation, and insurance availability.
MY MISSION FOR GREENLEE
I would like to continue to focus on economic growth and economic development. Greenlee County has unlimited potential to flourish and become another prominent location for tourism. I would welcome the opportunity to assist individuals in restoring our beautiful Chase Creek storefronts. Our San Francisco River has always been a great attraction and needs the care of the County. I would like to implement a regular care and maintenance program to ensure a safe family friendly environment for tourists and the residents of Greenlee County. I would also like to implement a resource to assist individuals who are interested in bringing small businesses to our community. Another issue that I feel needs attention is our Wards Canyon flood area. the concrete has been put down to alleviate some of the damage, but I feel a diversion system should also be investigated. It has been brought to my attention that non-company owned housing is a definite need in our county and I will strive to achieve that goal for individuals in our County who are in need.
YOUTH MATTERS IN GREENLEE COUNTY
Our youth is a very important component of Greenlee County and I’d like to see school programs implemented to teach life skills, provide counseling if needed and other resources such as a Boys and Girls club which would also offer job opportunities around the county for individuals who do not work for the county or Freeport McMoRan.
In closing, although change can sometimes be uncomfortable it is necessary. Greenlee county is ready for a change. I am asking the voters to allow me the opportunity to work in making Greenlee county a more resourceful and beautiful place to reside in. I am always readily available to listen and escalate to the proper personnel. I also believe in full transparency. Let your voices be heard. I would graciously appreciate your vote.
Thank you.
Please vote Nicole Horn for Greenlee County Supervisor District 1.
